Kwai Lun-Mei's gun debut in The Stool Pigeon

For an action film, the shootouts and fighting scenes are inevitable and crucial. However, it is the first time that actress Kwai Lun-Mei has used a gun in the Hong Kong action-crime film "The Stool Pigeon".
This was revealed at a press conference held in Beijing on Monday, August 16. Director Dante Lam, actors Nick Cheung, Nicholas Tse, Kwai Lun-Mei, Miao Pu and Lu Yi attended the event to promote the new film.
CCTV 6 host and moderator of the press conference Tu Jingwei, heard that Kwai did not even blink as she fired her gun, while actor Tse joked, "Yes, but I think it is because she is unresponsive."
Also in the film, a love triangle takes place between Nicholas Tse, Kwai Lun-Mei and Lui Yi. A question was asked to Kwai regarding which actor she would like most, and Cheung helped her resolve this problem by saying, "Of course, she would pick Nick Cheung." It turned out that all three actors are married and have children.
So, as for the love scenes, do they have to check in with their wives before shooting? The answers the three actors gave were all different. Tse said he would tell his wife, actress Cecilia Cheung. If she does not approve, he will not shoot the scenes. Lu Yi chooses to tell his wife, actress Bao Lei, and thinks she is able to understand. Nick Cheung knows his wife, actress Esther Kwan, will be sad, so he prefers not to tell her until she finds out after the film is done.
Actress Miao Pu added, "Cheung really is a good man, good-looking, and has excellent performing skills. And the most important thing is that he takes care of his family very well."
August 16th is Chinese Valentine's Day. The actors all said they would celebrate with each other because they will head to Shanghai to promote the film right away.
Out of respect to the national day of mourning for people killed in the massive mudslides in northwest China's Gansu province, the producers moved the Beijing film promotion to the 16th from 15th, and cancelled the red carpet ceremony for the premiere.
The film is set for an August 24 release.
