The National Art Museum of China (Zhongguo Meishu Guan) will host an exhibition featuring oil paintings by famous contemporary Ukrainian painter Mykhailo Guida from November 27-December 5.
Guida, who has been honored as the national artist of Ukraine, started painting in the 1980s. Most of his works, including landscape paintings and portraits, have a distinct Ukrainian style.
Guida's love for China is evident in his paintings of the Yangtze River and the beautiful scenery of Hangzhou. In his new works produced in China, he has painted classic Chinese buildings.
The exhibition will display Guida's masterpieces and some of his newer works that reflect his strong feelings for China.
