China's southern island province of Hainan will hold an exchange congress of Chinese calligraphy and paintings from Feb. 24 to 26 in the capital city Haikou.
More than 200 Chinese calligraphers and painters will attend the congress, which is composed of an exhibition, on-site creation, calligraphy and painters seminars and auctions, according to the press release by the Hainan Provincial Cultural, Radio, Press, Publication and Sports Department.
The event is themed "Gathering Chinese artworks of calligraphy and paintings, and building Hainan's cultural tourism".
