A documentary film about China's Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest generator of hydroelectric power, premiered on Friday.
Co-produced by the State Council Three Gorges Project Construction Committee Executive Office and the Central Newsreel and Documentary Film Studio, the documentary offers a comprehensive view of the project's construction process.
The documentary features moving stories of the project's builders and managing staff, as well as local residents who were relocated because of the project. The film depicts the enormous economic and social changes that took place in the Three Gorges reservoir area during and after its construction.
Senior official Li Changchun, a Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, and Vice Premier Li Keqiang were present at the film's premiere.
The documentary was produced to mark 90th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
