'Junior Cultural Ambassadors' visit Great Wall, Forbidden City and Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling

The "Junior Cultural Ambassadors" continued their cultural exchanges activities in Beijing on March 30-31, visiting some of the city's most iconic landmarks, including the Juyong Pass of the Great Wall, the Palace Museum, and the Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling.
The Juyong Pass of the Great Wall presented its breathtaking magnificence in Spring. Standing at its foot and enjoying the peach blossoms blooming all over the mountains, the Junior Cultural Ambassadors eagerly set out to challenge the highest peak of the Juyong Pass, as the saying goes, "He who doesn't reach the Great Wall is not a true hero." Deane Evans Gruba from the Philippines was the first to reach the top. He expressed his joy and pride at being able to climb the Great Wall in person.
Fascinated by the stones and bricks that bore witness to the vicissitudes of history, the "Junior Cultural Ambassadors" marveledat how they were transported to the high mountains in ancient China. With the mystery being solved by the tour guide, the "Junior Cultural Ambassadors" were left in awe of the wisdom and courage of the ancient Chinese.
The "Junior Cultural Ambassadors" arrived early at the Palace Museum, eager to admire the exquisite beauty of ancient Chinese royal architecture up close. They were overwhelmed by the magnificent architectural complex with its 600-year-old history. To have an immersive experience in the Palace Museum, Molnár Benedek from Hungary and Katherine Hartwig went above and beyond to have a truly immersive experience by donning traditional Hanfu attire, which caught the attention of many.
Shen Qing from Spain praised the magnificent architecture and the exquisite cultural and creative products in the Forbidden City. According to Mattia Dalcielo from Malta, among all the places he has visited, the Palace Museum was his favorite. "It is very beautiful and I feel vividly the time-honored Chinese culture here. I love it very much and hope to come back to China and visit the Forbidden City again in the future." said Mattia Dalcielo.
At the Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling, the "Junior Cultural Ambassadors," guided by the staff, visited the residence and the exhibition on her life. In the yard of the residence, the begonias were in full bloom and the fragrance was wafted in the air. The children were captivated by the beautiful scene and lost in the moment.
The exhibition showcasing the life of Soong Ching Ling enabled the "Junior Cultural Ambassadors" to learn about her life, her great spirit and the principles of China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (Peace, Unification and Future). "In the residence, I listened to the teacher tell stories of Granny Soong," said Agara Irving from Benin. "She made great contributions to children all around the world. She is truly amazing, and we all admire her."
