China Communications Press launched its Foreign Language Book Publishing Project in Transportation Technology during the 30th Beijing International Book Fair on Thursday, aiming to showcase China's advancements in the field and forge partnerships with global publishing institutions.
The project will curate a series of publications on various transportation technology topics, available worldwide through copyright licensing or cooperative publishing arrangements in multiple languages. The initiative seeks to promote Chinese literature on transportation technology and scientific achievements globally, encouraging international collaboration in transport and logistics.
Liu Tao, general manager of China Communications Press, underscored the organization's commitment to boosting China's global influence in transportation and logistics during the ceremony. He mentioned that they had exported over 50 standards, technical publications, and cultural works to Europe, the Americas, and Belt and Road Initiative partner countries in recent years. These works have been translated into English, Russian, Belarusian, Vietnamese and Kazakh. This effort aims to promote high-quality advancements in transportation and support the Belt and Road Initiative.
Wang Xingxing, deputy director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Transport, lauded the ceremony as a pivotal platform for international collaboration, facilitating the exchange of transportation development experiences between countries and advancing sustainable global transportation cooperation, contributing to building a global community of shared future.
Additionally, Hao Zhensheng, president of the Chinese Society of Editors, emphasized the society's crucial role in fostering international cooperation and development within the transportation sector through extensive connections with overseas publishing associations.

The ceremony also included signing ceremonies between China Communications Press and major international publishers like Elsevier, Bayt Al-Hekma Cultural Group, and IRSI Publishing House for the copyright licensing of transportation technology books.
