Held every five years since 1949, the National Exhibition of Fine Arts is a glimpse of artistic developments across the country, including the work of artists based in Macao.

The China Artists Association has chosen a selection of work from Macao featured at the 14th National Exhibition of Fine Arts earlier this year and taken it on tour back to the special administrative region.
The exhibition is currently on show at the Macao Foundation, together with the work of mainland artists. The assembly of ink paintings, oils, prints, watercolors and lacquer work demonstrates the diversity of traditions and cultures. It also marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China, and 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region.
