Market regulation authorities in southwest China's Guizhou Province has stepped up efforts to crack down on unlawful practices disturbing the market order of liquor brand Kweichow Moutai.
A 24-hour tip-off hotline has been set up by the provincial administration for market regulation to collect information on illegal acts and those in violation of regulations.
Such activities include hoarding and profiteering, price pushing, sales at premium costs, counterfeiting, malicious speculation, sham promotion, deception or misleading consumers and others.
In August, Kweichow Moutai Group chairman Li Baofang noted that the company will take multiple measures to stabilize the price of Kweichow Moutai liquor which had been hiking for some time and deviated from the terminal guiding price.
