Chinese stocks closed higher Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.84 percent to 3,071.99 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 2.81 percent higher at 11,121.72 points.
The turnover of stocks covered by the two indices stood at 860.81 billion yuan (121.07 billion U.S. dollars), up from 728.34 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
Shares related to medical devices and services led the gains, while shares related to airports and livestock breeding posted lackluster performances.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, gained 3.55 percent to close at 2,434.22 points.
