The 26th China Beijing International High-Tech Expo will be held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing from July 13 to 16, according to a press briefing by the Information Office of the Beijing Municipal People's Government on Thursday.
The number of overseas exhibitors will reach a new record high, according to Zhu Liang, deputy director of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council.
Zhu said that this year's expo will feature over 70 globally renowned enterprises and institutions from 17 countries and regions, including the United Nations organization on dispute resolution, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, and companies from the U.S., the U.K., and Germany.
Additionally, a group of Fortune 500 companies, such as Sanofi, AstraZeneca, Philips, and Temasek, will showcase their latest technologies and products at the event, Zhu added.
The fair will present a series of highly anticipated technological achievements, showcasing over 1,000 innovations, including more than 300 new technologies and products. Examples include the independently developed gas turbine blades and impellers, earthquake search and rescue robots, and micro high-pressure oxygen chambers.
To provide visitors with the opportunity to explore a dazzling array of public-benefit technologies, the expo will showcase new technology-enhanced living scenarios, including smart roadside equipment, unmanned security patrol vehicles, and other intelligent connected car products.
Moreover, AI-powered therapist robots, 5G intelligent health screening robots, and health monitoring watches will illustrate a smart healthcare lifestyle that integrates clinical auxiliary diagnosis and health management and monitoring.
As part of the efforts to promote the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, this year's expo will highlight the latest progress, innovative achievements, and exemplary cases from the region, said Jiang Juncheng, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology.
The expo aims to emphasize the role of technology in fostering industry connections and enhancing trade and investment, Zhu said. Alongside the exhibition, six trade and investment promotion activities and the 2024 Beijing International Investment and Trade Fair will be hosted during the event.
