The 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), scheduled to take place in Beijing from Sept. 12 to 16, will feature 13 thematic forums, according to a press briefing on Monday.
These forums will cover key topics such as new trends in service trade, trade facilitation, cultural and tourism integration, the digital economy, technological innovation, and digital trade. The aim is to promote a higher level of openness in service trade and strengthen cooperation and exchanges in the sector, according to the event organizers.
The Service Trade Development Forum will highlight two main themes: new trends in service trade and trade facilitation, with discussions focused on openness, cooperation, innovation, and development in the sector.
Additionally, the Capital International Medical Conference will focus on the theme of developing new quality productive forces to build a shared human health community, while the 8th China Forum on Standardization of Trade in Services will center on empowering the service economy through technological innovation, and promoting trade development through standardization cooperation.
The Digital Trade Development Forum will explore cutting-edge areas in digital technology and trade, providing a platform for international academic exchanges to foster deeper cooperation and build a new ecosystem for digital trade.
According to the organizers, green economy will be highlighted in this year's thematic forums. This includes the Global Green Economy Development Forum, which will offer strategies for industries, regions, and businesses to promote market growth.
In addition, several authoritative reports will be released during this year's CIFTIS, including reports on China's service trade development, digital trade cooperation, and development of tourism cities worldwide. These reports will provide valuable insights into the latest trends and cooperation opportunities in the global service trade sector.
