China's capital city Beijing is set to establish a number of digital advertising parks that align with the city's strategic goals, and create a globally competitive digital advertising cluster, according to a recently issued draft guideline.
The draft outlines key areas, including basic requirements, industry layout, talent development, international cooperation, and support measures. It emphasizes the integration of digital technologies such as big data, recommendation algorithms, generative AI, and blockchain into the advertising industry.
The aim is to create an ecosystem that blends digital advertising with industries like manufacturing, retail, IT services, culture, sports, and entertainment.
By leveraging these technologies, advertising design and production methods can be enhanced, improving the precision and effectiveness of ad placements.
The guidelines suggest that at least 40% of businesses in these complexes should be involved in advertising and related industries.
The parks are also encouraged to set up service platforms that provide support for tasks like business registration, trademark applications, high-tech certification, as well as legal and tax assistance. Additionally, they should connect with third-party resources for financial services, intellectual property, innovation incubation, human resources, and technology transfer, while also partnering with universities and research institutions to provide access to technology and research facilities.
Each district is encouraged to develop digital advertising parks based on its unique strengths. By building these complexes, Beijing aims to foster the digital transformation of its advertising industry and drive high-quality development.
