Beijing Daxing International Airport has received over 40 million passengers this year, setting a new annual passenger traffic record since it began operations in 2019.
As of Oct. 20, the airport had handled a total of 262,100 flights this year, with a passenger throughput of 40.01 million, a 28.1% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
Currently, the airport hosts 65 airlines. Through September this year, 43 domestic and international airlines operated 216 passenger routes through Daxing, connecting to 197 destinations around the world.
In addition, the airport has a wide market coverage for international flights to Russia and the Middle East. It is continuously increasing flights to Northeast Asia, including Japan and South Korea, as well as Southeast Asia.
The airport is also seeking to expand its international and regional routes in markets such as the Middle East, Central Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, and Africa.
Beijing Daxing International Airport will welcome Singapore Airlines and increase flights to Singapore, while opening more international flights to destinations like Sydney and Melbourne, providing travelers with a wider range of travel options.
To bring more convenience to travelers, the airport started to provide international luggage check-in services in June this year.
