Excellency,
It is a matter of great personal privilege and honor for me to congratulate your Excellency on your re-election as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in the 19thNational Congress of the CPC. This is no doubt a historic occasion not only for China but also the world. Your re-election is an expression of a huge confidence and trust of the CPC and the Chinese people in your dynamic leadership.
During the course of my public life, I have had the privilege of meeting several world leaders. However, it wasn't till I met your Excellency that I truly understood the concept of Ren and Junzi that you personify. My each meeting with you has been a lesson in wisdom, qualities of leadership and a vision for public service. I have been greatly touched by the warmth of your friendship for my person as well as for the people of Pakistan.
The launch of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) reflects your immense love for the people of Pakistan. China, under your leadership, has truly proven itself to be 'an iron brother' of the Pakistani people. We passionately welcome and cherish your Belt and Road Initiative and consider it to be an epic, bold and futuristic project that is changing the destiny of the world. Your vision of shared and participatory economic development is a clarion call for the world to put its act together. All elements of national power in Pakistan are committed to turning CPEC into a symbol of our all-weather friendship and brotherhood.
Personally speaking, I continue to be inspired by your enunciation of 'Chinese Dream' that lays out your vision of a strong nation. This Dream, as you explained in your interview with The Wall Street Journal in September 2015, is about improving living conditions of the Chinese people. The Belt and Road Initiative and CPEC are an extension of 'Chinese Dream' that is aimed at enabling other nations to enjoy the fruits of socio-economic development.
Your re-election as the General Secretary of the CPC is certainly a moment of celebration and solace for those who are worried by chaos and uncertainty that has gripped the world in recent years. Your leadership will inspire hope among the developing nations and provide a foundation for an increased South-South and North-South cooperation.
