China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) Monday asked Chinese people and companies in Pakistan to be careful after floods hit the country.
Floods triggered by torrential rains have hit some Chinese-funded projects in Pakistan, trapping Chinese staff and causing economic losses, the ministry said in a statement posted on its website.
The MOC suggested Chinese people and companies in Pakistan closely monitor the flood situation and take precautionary measures to protect their safety and property.
The MOC said Sunday China will give 10 million yuan (1.48 million U.S. dollars) of humanitarian aid to flood-ravaged Pakistan.
