The Immigration Department of Hong Kong said Monday that more than 3.68 million people had passed through Hong Kong during the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday.
From Feb. 2 to 6, about 1.74 million and 1.94 million passengers went in and out of Hong Kong respectively through the city's land, sea and air control points.
The Lo Wu control point was the busiest port with a total of 586,830 inbound and 690,942 outbound passengers during the holiday, according to the Immigration Department.
The number of passengers going in and out of Hong Kong through the Hong Kong airport totaled 257,327 and 263,498 respectively.
This year's Chinese New Year fell on Feb. 3, from which Hong Kong residents started to enjoy four consecutive days of public holiday.
