The information coded in the black boxes of crashed TransAsia Flight GE 222 has been deciphered and will be disclosed to the public on Friday, the island's aviation council said on Thursday.
Wang Hsing-chung, head of the council, said that confirmation on the content of the cockpit voice recorder will be finished on Thursday, while data from the other black box has already been confirmed.
Flight data including the plane's height, speed, direction and key conversations in the cockpit should shed light on the reasons for the crash.
Air traffic control records have provided no evidence that the flight made an emergency call before it crashed, Wang said.
According to an earlier announcement made by the council, the last conversation between the plane and the tower was the the pilot's words meaning "negative, negative."
The flight, which took off from Kaohsiung on Wednesday evening of last week, crashed into residential buildings in Xixi Village of the western Taiwanese island of Penghu, after a failed emergency landing at Magong Airport, causing 48 deaths.
The flight was carrying 54 passengers and four crew.
