Building a beautiful China

A beautiful environment is beneficial to the people and the future of the nation. The report to the 18th National Congress of the CPC called for hard work to build a beautiful country, and achieve lasting and sustainable development of the Chinese nation. The report to the 19th CPC National Congress proposed speeding up reform of the system for developing an ecological civilization, and building a beautiful China.

Building a beautiful China is an important part of the Chinese Dream. It calls for respecting, protecting and being in harmony with nature, based on the understanding that "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets." China should implement its key national policy on resource conservation, environmental protection, and promotion of green, circular and low-carbon development. The initiative underscores the need to leave more space for nature to renew itself, to keep more land for cultivation, and to bequeath a better working and living environment to future generations so that they can be blessed with blue sky, green fields, and clean water.

The Chinese Dream will not be realized at the expense of the environment. Economic development should be accompanied by strong measures to protect the environment. Building a beautiful China will be of benefit to the country's long-term development, to promoting sustainable global development, and to fulfilling the universal dream of protecting our beautiful earth.

According to China's two-stage development plan, the basic elements of a beautiful China will be in place by 2035.

建設(shè)美麗中國

建設(shè)生態(tài)文明，關(guān)系人民福祉，關(guān)乎民族未來。黨的十八大報告提出，努力建設(shè)美麗中國，實現(xiàn)中華民族永續(xù)發(fā)展。黨的十九大報告進一步提出，加快生態(tài)文明體制改革，建設(shè)美麗中國。建設(shè)美麗中國是中國夢的重要內(nèi)容，就是要按照尊重自然、順應(yīng)自然、保護自然的理念，堅持“既要金山銀山，又要綠水青山”“綠水青山就是金山銀山”的理念，貫徹節(jié)約資源和保護環(huán)境的基本國策，更加自覺地推動綠色發(fā)展、循環(huán)發(fā)展、低碳發(fā)展。建設(shè)美麗中國，就是要給自然留下更多修復(fù)空間，給農(nóng)業(yè)留下更多良田，為子孫后代留下天藍(lán)、地綠、水清的生產(chǎn)生活環(huán)境。中國夢的實現(xiàn)不以犧牲環(huán)境為代價，在發(fā)展經(jīng)濟的同時，要保護好生態(tài)環(huán)境。建設(shè)“美麗中國”，有利于中國的長遠(yuǎn)發(fā)展，也將助推世界可持續(xù)發(fā)展，更有助于實現(xiàn)人類共同的夢想：保護美麗的地球?！懊利愔袊钡哪繕?biāo)將在2035年基本實現(xiàn)。
