Colombo Port City

Colombo Port City is a project implemented by the China Communications Construction Company Limited and the Sri Lanka Ports Authority. It is currently Sri Lanka's largest foreign investment project located in Colombo's central business district. It will be built on 269 hectares of land reclaimed from the sea adjacent to the existing Port of Colombo. The whole city will have five functional zones: a financial district, a central park, an island for residence, a marina and a zone of international brands. There will be a yacht marina, a shopping mall, a medical center, schools, office buildings, luxury hotels and amusement facilities.

The Port City will have a combined floor area of 5.65 million square meters, with an initial investment of US$1.4 billion. It is expected to attract US$13 billion of further development investment.

The entire construction will continue for 25 years. After ground-breaking on September 17, 2014, the project was delayed as a result of Sri Lanka's general election and subsequent transfer of power to a new administration. After repeated efforts by China, a new tripartite agreement to proceed with the construction of the project was signed in August 2016. When construction was resumed, the Chinese side employed four extra-large trailing suction hopper dredgers that worked day and night. By January 2018, 269 hectares of land had been reclaimed from the sea, signifying major overall progress.

科倫坡港口城

科倫坡港口城由中國(guó)交通建設(shè)集團(tuán)和斯里蘭卡政府聯(lián)合開(kāi)發(fā)，是斯里蘭卡目前最大的外國(guó)投資項(xiàng)目，位于首都科倫坡核心商貿(mào)區(qū)，占地面積269公頃，通過(guò)在科倫坡港口附近填海造地的方式，規(guī)劃金融區(qū)、中央公園區(qū)、宜居生活島、游艇碼頭區(qū)、國(guó)際品牌帶動(dòng)區(qū)等五大主題區(qū)域；建造布局設(shè)計(jì)精湛的甲級(jí)寫(xiě)字樓、醫(yī)療中心、教育機(jī)構(gòu)、休閑娛樂(lè)綜合體、游艇碼頭、購(gòu)物勝地、豪華酒店等世界級(jí)的城市設(shè)施和配套項(xiàng)目，總建筑面積預(yù)計(jì)將達(dá)到565萬(wàn)平方米?？苽惼赂劭诔且黄谔詈Ｔ斓赝顿Y約14億美元，預(yù)計(jì)可帶動(dòng)二期開(kāi)發(fā)投資達(dá)130億美元。該項(xiàng)目由中國(guó)交通建設(shè)集團(tuán)有限公司與斯里蘭卡國(guó)家港務(wù)局共同開(kāi)發(fā)。工程整體工期約25年，于2014年9月17日開(kāi)工，后因斯里蘭卡大選以及政府更迭等因素影響，建設(shè)進(jìn)展有所延宕。經(jīng)中方多方面交涉，在2016年8月簽署新的三方協(xié)議后，該工程項(xiàng)目得以繼續(xù)推進(jìn)。項(xiàng)目復(fù)工后，中方為盡快完成填海造地工程，動(dòng)用四艘超大型高科技耙吸挖泥船，不分晝夜工作。2018年1月，科倫坡港口城269公頃吹填土地已全部形成，填海工程完工標(biāo)志著整體項(xiàng)目工程取得重大進(jìn)展。
