The spirit of the Yimeng old revolutionary base area

The Yimeng region in central-southern Shandong Province is an old revolutionary base area. Through China's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, starting in the 1930s, to the War of Liberation in late 1940s, this was one of the major strongholds of the CPC. The local people made huge sacrifices and enormous contributions to the success of the national revolution, in the course of which they developed a spirit that is summarized as "loving the Party and the people's army, engaging in pioneering work and arduous struggle, and making a selfless contribution.”

In November 2013, while inspecting Linyi, a city in the Yimeng region, Xi Jinping said, "the spirit of the Yimeng region, together with that of Yan'an, Jinggang Mountains and Xibaipo, is a precious treasure of the Party and the state, and should never be neglected."

沂蒙精神

沂蒙地區(qū)是位于山東省中南部的革命老區(qū)。在中國抗日戰(zhàn)爭和解放戰(zhàn)爭時期的十多年時間里,這里始終是中國共產(chǎn)黨的重要根據(jù)地之一。沂蒙人民為革命勝利做出了巨大的犧牲和奉獻(xiàn),共同鍛造了“愛黨愛軍、開拓奮進(jìn)、艱苦創(chuàng)業(yè)、無私奉獻(xiàn)”的沂蒙精神。2013年11月,習(xí)近平在臨沂視察時指出,沂蒙精神與延安精神、井岡山精神、西柏坡精神一樣,是黨和國家的寶貴的精神財富,要不斷結(jié)合新的時代條件發(fā)揚(yáng)光大。
