Realistic Military Training

Military training is key to enhancing combat capabilities and combat readiness. As Xi Jinping has repeatedly emphasized, rigorous training is indispensable, and it is essential to improve realistic training, aligned with actual war scenarios, to ensure the relevance of training, and identify and focus on what we need most in hostile situations. 

The CMC issued the Guidelines for Improving Military Training Under Real Combat Conditions in March 2014 and the Provisionary Rules on Strengthening Realistic Military Training in November 2016, outlining guiding principles, underlying considerations, major tasks and requirements for improving current and future training for real war scenarios.  

Training for real combat is how military training should be done to ensure its effectiveness. It means that training should be conducted under conditions similar to real combat situations to meet real combat needs, so that training routines can be executed in actual operations to adapt the former to fit the latter. Specifically, the focus will be on the use of realistic combat scenarios in training, including joint operations scenarios. Units of the military will carry out rigorous, hyper-realistic training in accordance with tailored training outlines that corresponds to their duties and mimics actual combat environments to test and verify the effectiveness of training. It is also important to encourage innovation in combat solutions.  

實戰(zhàn)化軍事訓(xùn)練

軍事訓(xùn)練是提高實戰(zhàn)能力的重要途徑和抓手，是最直接的軍事斗爭準備。習(xí)近平多次強調(diào)，堅持從難從嚴訓(xùn)練部隊，切實提高軍事訓(xùn)練實戰(zhàn)化水平；貫徹戰(zhàn)訓(xùn)一致原則，堅持仗怎么打兵就怎么練，打仗需要什么就苦練什么，部隊最缺什么就專攻精練什么。2014年3月中央軍委印發(fā)《關(guān)于提高軍事訓(xùn)練實戰(zhàn)化水平的意見》，2016年11月中央軍委印發(fā)《加強實戰(zhàn)化軍事訓(xùn)練暫行規(guī)定》，明確了當(dāng)前和今后一個時期提高軍事訓(xùn)練實戰(zhàn)化水平的指導(dǎo)思想、總體思路、主要任務(wù)和措施要求。

實戰(zhàn)化軍事訓(xùn)練，是遵循制勝機理和練兵規(guī)律，在近似實戰(zhàn)的環(huán)境和條件下進行訓(xùn)練。本質(zhì)內(nèi)涵是按實戰(zhàn)要求訓(xùn)練，按訓(xùn)練去實戰(zhàn)，使訓(xùn)練與實戰(zhàn)達到一體化。在訓(xùn)練實踐中，堅持聚焦實戰(zhàn)、對接實戰(zhàn)，堅持實戰(zhàn)實訓(xùn)、聯(lián)戰(zhàn)聯(lián)訓(xùn)，把從難從嚴按綱施訓(xùn)作為提升實戰(zhàn)化軍事訓(xùn)練水平的重要抓手，緊貼作戰(zhàn)任務(wù)、作戰(zhàn)對手、作戰(zhàn)環(huán)境，加強對抗性檢驗性訓(xùn)練，加強針對性適應(yīng)性訓(xùn)練，大力開展戰(zhàn)法創(chuàng)新，提高備戰(zhàn)打仗能力。
