Gamma Irradiators
Gamma irradiators showcase the advances in the development of radiation technology in China and its industrial application. Relying on innovation, major players in this field, especially the Beijing SanQiangHeLi Radiation Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. (SQHL) and Beijing Bini, a subsidiary of the China Isotope & Radiation Corporation (CIRC), have developed four types of gamma irradiators, and created three national standards, greatly expanding China's capacity to design and manufacture gamma irradiators, making China an international supplier of gamma irradiators. By the end of 2015, more than 130 cobalt-60 irradiators with a design capacity of more than 300,000 Curies were produced. The largest domestically made irradiators come with a design capacity of 6 million Curies. The gamma irradiators in use have a total design capacity of over 170 million Curies and an actual capacity of about 70 million Curies. They are used mainly for food irradiation, traditional Chinese medicine irradiation, disinfection and sterilization of medical equipment, and materials modification.
γ輻照裝置
γ輻照裝置是推動中國輻射科學(xué)技術(shù)研發(fā)和進入產(chǎn)業(yè)化發(fā)展的主要技術(shù)設(shè)備。相關(guān)科研生產(chǎn)單位,特別是北京三強核力和中國同輻旗下北京比尼公司堅持自主創(chuàng)新,研發(fā)出四大類γ輻照裝置,完成了三大國家標(biāo)準(zhǔn),使中國γ輻照裝置的設(shè)計建造能力得到大幅度提升,成為獲得國際認(rèn)可的γ輻照裝置供貨商。2015年底,國產(chǎn)γ輻照裝置設(shè)計裝源能力為30萬居里以上的鈷源輻照裝置達到130多臺,國產(chǎn)最大設(shè)計裝源能力達到600萬居里,總設(shè)計裝源能力超過1.7億居里,實際裝源量約7000萬居里。主要用于食品輻照、中藥輻照和醫(yī)療器械的輻照消毒滅菌以及部分材料改性。
