Hong Kong veteran stars Jackie Chan, Eric Tsang, Jacky Cheung, and director Stanley Tong attended the funeral for horse racing commentator and actor Bill Tung on Monday.

 

Bill Tung, who appeared with Jackie Chan in Rumble in the Bronx and Police Story, died of lung illness on February 22 at the age of 72.

 

Known affectionately as Uncle Bill, Tung was married four times, and is survived by three sons, three daughters and 12 grandchildren.

 

Jackie Chan offered condolences to Tung's family. "Jackie was very saddened to hear the news about the man who often played the part of a mentor to Jackie," said a statement on Chan's official website.

 

Besides Rumble in the Bronx, Tung also appeared in Chan's Police Story series, Miracles and Drunken Master II.
