There are about 2,000 collegiate environmental protection societies in China. These societies launch various activities every year to raise awareness of China's green movement.
To increase the participation of college students, an environmental and ecological protection competition called the "Green Seed Award" has been created. The Green Seed Award is part of the youth-led project the "Green Long March" and was organized by Future Generations China and the Beijing Forestry University.
Participants will receive grants for small-scale projects that support meaningful community action on environmental issues. Award criteria are based on potential impact, feasibility, budget and evidence of cooperation.
