Strong winds are forecast to hit some parts of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, northwest China and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region over the next three days, dragging temperatures down by six to eight degrees Celsius in these regions, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said in a statement posted on its website.
Also, the NMC said north Xinjiang, northeast China and the southwest regions would see light to moderate snow or sleet over the next three days, while some parts of Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan provinces should brace for light rain or showers.
The center suggested people keep warm while traveling during the holiday as temperatures would remain low.
