Floods and landslides have cut Australia's major Queensland highway connecting the state capital of Brisbane with the Darling Downs in southern Queensland and southwest Queensland, police said on Thursday.
Police have advised the Warrego Highway is closed in two areas, at Toowoomba in South East Queensland and further west near the town of Jondaryan.
All lanes of the Toowoomba Range section of the highway have been closed, in both directions, because of landslides.
The highway is also cut three kilometers west of Jondaryan due to flooding.
Police say both sections of the highway will be closed until further notice and the continuing rain is hampering their efforts to get the highway open again.
