The new students will enroll on the Future Academy's MBA-modeled program in 2014, for the opportunity to work with business leaders, academics and experts in analyzing the corporate sustainability and innovation strategies of six Chinese companies.

"A major step forward and a milestone supported by corporate leaders and expert panels, this recruitment targets young entrepreneurs who are committed to leading China's clean revolution," said Changhua Wu, Greater China Director of The Climate Group, who also acts as the Founding President of the Future Academy.

The Future Academy was officially kicked off at the end of 2013 by Rt Hon Tony Blair, The Climate Group, You Change Foundation and China Philanthropist Magazine in Beijing. It is designed to train entrepreneurial young people to become future leaders of China's emerging low carbon economy.

Business leaders from top Chinese companies have already signed up to work with the Future Academy students, including Lun Feng, Chairman, Vantone Group (a leading Chinese real estate company), Yue Zhang, Chairman and CEO, Broad Group, Wenbiao Wang, Chairman and CEO, Elion Group, and Xianfu Han, Chairman, Xin Ao Concrete Group.

An academic steering group and expert panel have been set up, and Beijing University's School of Environmentand Center of Value and Social Responsibility of Guanghua Business School, as well as leading global sustainability consultancy Accenture, have agreed to provide technical and academic support.

The Environmental Education and Publicity Center of Ministry of Environmental Protection has committed to becoming a strategic partner of the Academy, while China Youth Climate Action Network will be a close partner of project implementation.

With 100 students expected to be recruited in one month's time, the Academy plans to implement the case study work with six chosen companies between April and August, 2014.
