Six people were killed and 734,000 people have been affected by a rainstorm in central China's Hunan Province during the last few days, local authorities said on Monday.
According to local meteorological authority, heavy rain has hit most parts of Hunan Province since mid-April and has destroyed roads, damaged houses and flooded crops.
A total of 11,000 local residents have been relocated, but 7,400 still need aid.
Local meteorological authorities said heavy rains will continue this week. The hydrographic office issued a yellow alert for floods early Monday morning.
Meanwhile, in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, more than 70,000 people have been affected by rainstorm, the regional civil affairs department said on Monday.
