A 40-year-old man died of the A/H1N1 influenza strain in Taiwan on Sunday, bringing the death toll from the virus on the island to 29, the island's health authority said Monday.
The man had previously suffered from heart disease and had been undergoing dialysis treatment for a kidney disease, according to his medical record.
He was sent into emergency care with a fever during the dialysis treatment on Oct. 25, and was diagnosed with A/H1N1 flu infection on Oct. 29.
