A total of 80,985 people in Macao have been inoculated with the A/H1N1 vaccines so far, Macao's Health Bureau announced on Monday.
Some 2,210 people were inoculated with the vaccines on Monday alone, which was initiated by the bureau in late November last year.
According to the statistics from the bureau, there was no new A/H1N1 flu cases reported in local hospitals by Monday.
The government of Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) has purchased a total of 700,000 doses of A/H1N1 vaccines, and local medical staff, children, old people and patients with chronic disease were among the group of local people who were firstly inoculated with these vaccines.
According to Chui Sai On, Chief Executive of SAR, the city will offer inoculation of A/H1N1 vaccines for all its residents from Jan. 1, in an effort to combat the second wave of A/H1N1 flu.
