On July 26, an international communication event called "Green Tea and Red Wine, Hangzhou and Expo" was held in the Hangzhou Pavilion, representing the merging of Chinese and Western culture.
Awni Behnam, the United Nations assistant secretary-general and UN Pavilion commissioner-general, attended the event with over 160 curators or their representatives and over 200 commissioner-generals.

Hangzhou Pavilion holds a Tai Chi tea-making performance called "five kinds of water brew Longjing tea." The seawater is safely taken from Qiantang River, Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, West Lake, Xixi, and Hangzhou bay. The performance represents the first time in China that tea has been made by seawater. The seawater is used to brew five kinds of Longjing tea called Lion, Dragon, Cloud, Tiger and Plum Blossom. The presentation of the five special teas is greatly welcomed by the visitors.
The performance teams from Spain, Germany, Vietnam, the Philippines and Angola also had wonderful shows in Hangzhou Pavilion.
Hangzhou Pavilion attracts visitors not only through its presentations and performances, but also through its distribution of coupons valid for travel to Hangzhou. The number of visitors to Hangzhou Pavilion reached 600,000 by July 26, and 68,000 coupons were distributed. Hangzhou Pavilion will deliver 40,000 more coupons, with a set number of 400 delivered after 2 pm every day.
