A comprehensive school in Huddersfield has had the mirrors removed from its girls' toilets in order to try to dissuade its teenage students from wearing make-up, the Yorkshire Post reported.
The schools' female students, aged 14 to 16, were told that as they had not adhered to a "discreet" make-up rule, make-up is to be banned at the school altogether.
As the new school year starts, teachers at Shelley College have been given make-up removal kits and nail varnish remover to clamp down on rebellious teens.
