An anonymous actress has sued the Internet Movie Database and its parent Amazon.com in a million-dollar federal lawsuit claiming that her offers for roles dropped sharply after IMDb published her age, AP reported.

The actress claims she looks a lot younger than she is, and so she had always been careful about keeping her given name and birth date confidential.

In 2008, she tried to advance her career by signing up for a subscription service with the website called IMDb Pro. She provided credit card information when she bought the service.

IMDb used that information without permission to uncover her date of birth and added it to her profile.

Since then, her career has declined substantially, the lawsuit alleged.

網(wǎng)站曝年齡 女演員起訴
