A liquor shop in Essex, England, refused to sell alcohol to a woman of 92 because she couldn't prove she was over 18, the Daily Mirror reported.
Great-grandmother Diane Taylor initially thought the shop assistant was complimenting her in asking for her ID but quickly realized she was being serious.
A shop spokesman apologized but said staff cannot sell alcohol without seeing proof of age.
Ms. Taylor said: "I am 101% with them for checking young people but carrying it to that length is just ridiculous." (點(diǎn)擊《每日鏡報(bào)》查看原文)
