Ron Piccirillo, 37, who is an oil painter and graphic designer, claims to have finally cracked the 500-year-old mystery of the Mona Lisa -- by spotting hidden images that nobody has seen before, the Daily Telegraph reported.

Piccirillo found the heads of a lion, an ape and a buffalo hovering in the air after turning the painting on its side. He also discovered a crocodile or snake coming out of the left hand side of her body by following the instructions as laid out in the journals of Leonardo da Vinci.

Piccirillo claims that his discovery cracks open the meaning of the work -- that the Mona Lisa is actually a representation of envy.

???????據(jù)英國(guó)《每日電訊報(bào)》報(bào)道，將該畫(huà)作橫過(guò)來(lái)時(shí)，皮西里羅在畫(huà)中裊裊的空氣里發(fā)現(xiàn)了獅子﹑猿猴和水牛的頭。按照達(dá)·芬奇的筆記所給的提示，他還發(fā)現(xiàn)一只又像鱷魚(yú)又像蛇的動(dòng)物從蒙娜麗莎的左側(cè)游走出來(lái)。

???????皮西里羅稱，自己的發(fā)現(xiàn)破解了該畫(huà)作的意義，即《蒙娜麗莎》實(shí)際上所表達(dá)的主題是妒嫉。
