Olympic champion Guo Jingjing qualified for the women's diving 3m springboard final at China's 11th National Games on Wednesday.
Representing Hebei Province, Guo, who won four Olympic titles, entered the final with the highest score of 400.05 points, followed by Wu Minxia, representing Shanghai, also her synchronized diving partner at almost all the world-level diving events, who collected 399.10 points.
World champion He Zi, representing Guangdong, ranked the third with 389.50 points.
Twelve divers will compete for the gold medal on Thursday.
