Germany won the gold medal in the women's cross-country team sprint at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver on Monday.
The German team finished first in 18 minutes and 3,7 seconds, 0.6 seconds faster than the Swedish team who won the silver medal.
"It was a great race and we [with teammate Evi Sachenbacher-Stehle] worked very well together. We did everything right and at the right time. I really liked this race," said Germany's Claudia Nystad.
The Russian team came in third in 18 minutes and 7.7 seconds.
The Chinese team, composed by Man Dandan and Li Hongxue, competed in the second group of the semifinal round, finished in 20 minutes and 2,7 seconds to lose chance for the final round.
