Wade scored 12 consecutive Heat points in the fourth quarter, where he notched up 14 of his game-high 31 to turn a tight contest firmly Miami's way.
Miami led 69-68 before Wade caught fire and his run helped push the advantage into double digits with just over four minutes remaining.
Chris Bosh added 23 for the Heat (33-11) to help offset a rare poor shooting night by LeBron James, who only scored 14 points but chipped in with 12 rebounds and seven assists.
Dwight Howard recorded 18 points and 11 rebounds for the visiting Magic (29-17) but they were stifled in what was a defensive grudge match.
