9. Luis Suarez (Liverpool)

Liverpool's diminutive forward has all too often found himself in the headlines for the wrong reasons, but no one can doubt his ability with a ball at his feet. The Uruguayan scored a total of 30 goals in all competitions for Liverpool last year, making him the best player by far on Brendan Rodgers' side and one who would fit in easily with any top European club.
