Lin Dan clinched a record fifth world title.
Lin was given a wild card entry for the World Championships in Guangzhou since his world ranking did not enable him to qualify.
However, "Super Dan" eventually converted the wild card into his fifth title of the tournament by beating his all time rival Lee Chong Wei in the final.
