Australia's Andrew Dodt won the 2 million US dollars Thailand Classic by a shot on Sunday, beating local hero Thongchai Jaidee and overnight leader Scott Hend.
Dodt had five birdies en route to five-under-par 67 in the final round, totaling 16 under for 272 at the Black Mountain course in Hua Hin.P It was his first win since 2010.
Thongchai had been cruising until a double-bogey on 13 in the event co-sanctioned by European and Asian Tour.
Thongchai had 71 for the day and 273 overall, tied with Australian Hend, who had a brilliant 66 in the third round but finished with 72 in the final.
