The world famous live motorsport event Monster Jam will debut for the first time in China in late July at Beijing's landmark National Stadium, also known as the Bird's Nest.

"Monster Jam is a very unique and exciting American entertainment spectacular," said Blake Tatroe, Feld Entertainment regional marketing director at a press conference in Beijing on Monday. "It's unlike anything you ever witnessed in China before. We are very excited to bring it to the Bird's Nest for the very first time."

This most action-packed live event on four wheels, operated by Feld Entertainment, involves monstrously huge custom race trucks and world-class drivers competing in front of capacity crowds in both monster truck racing and freestyle competitions. Monster Jam features the most recognizable trucks in the world including Grave Digger, Max-D, El Toro Loco, Monster Mutt Dalmatian, Scooby Doo and many more. One of the star monster trucks, Dragon, appeared at the press conference.

Tatroe also revealed that this year ten of the world's greatest Monster Jam trucks are going to perform stunts and gravity-defying thrills to wow Chinese fans for the very first time in the Bird's Nest, and they are going to bring in 300 truckloads of dirt -- 3,500 cubic meters of dirt -- to cover and transform the Bird's Nest into a custom Monster Jam track. He stressed that the feast is a full-blown family entertainment and children will like it very much.

Bison Tong, executive director of Tolead Entertainment and Monster Jam's Chinese partner, said that this time the event has nailed the most iconic and influential venue, trucks, star drivers and celebrity guests, including singer Richie Jen, as he hopes to build this event into the top motorsport entertainment in China.

Wang Xiaogang, vice general manager of the Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of China, one of the organizers, believes that Monster Jam will have a unique chemistry with Chinese culture, and will contribute significantly to China's motorsports industry.

According to statistics, Monster Jam performs in at least 325 venues and entertains more than 4 million viewers every year. Monster Jam will be launched in China for the first time on July 29 in Beijing and tickets are on sale on Damai.cn.
