Love marathon combines sport and tourism

The 2018 Yueqing Yandang Mountain Love Marathon, combining sports with tourism, will be held at Yandang Mountain in Zhejiang Province's Yueqing City on November 24.
Jointly organized by the Chinese Athletic Association, the Zhejiang Province Marathon and Running Association and the Yueqing City government, the event will feature 2,000 runners — 800 in the 21-kilometer half marathon, 600 in the 10km love run and 600 in the family run.
The route covers major tourism spots in the Yandang Mountain area, allowing runners to enjoy its natural environment. The mountain is known for its vertical rock faces and pinnacles, as well as its love-themed folklore.
Friends and relatives of the runners can also visit the Yandang Mountain at a discounted rate, and couples who have been married for over 30 years will be offered free entry.
