Tiger Woods announced on Thursday that he will play the Memorial Tournament next week at Muirfield Village where he is the five-time champion.
"I'm looking forward to playing in the Memorial Tournament next week. I've missed going out and competing with the guys and can't wait to get back out there," he said through social media.
Woods has not played since the PGA Tour's return amid the COVID-19 pandemic a month ago, or on the PGA Tour at all since February.
Woods, who has 82 wins in his career, will use the Memorial Tournament to prepare for the PGA Championship starting on Aug. 6. Local media said the superstar might also choose to play one or two more events in the build-up to the Grand Slam event.
