Top-seeded Romanian tennis player Cezar Cretu triumphed in the men's singles final of the ITF M15 tournament in Oradea, northwest Romania on Sunday.
Cretu defeated compatriot Gabi Adrian Boitan 7-6 (4), 6-4 as the victory marks Cretu's sixth ITF title.
The tournament, organized by CSM Oradea with a prize pool of 15,000 U.S. dollars, saw Cretu, ranked 397th in the world, clinch the title in two hours and 15 minutes.
In the doubles final, the Romanian-British pair of Bogdan Pavel and Finn Bass, the top seeds, defeated Mateo Luis Alvarez Sarmiento of Spain and Martins Rocens from Latvia 7-5, 6-3 on Saturday.
