France's PSG and Spain's Atletico have been placed in Group B alongside Brazil's Botafogo and the Seattle Sounders from the United States, as 32 teams were divided into eight groups, labeled from A to H, for the preliminary round.
UEFA Champions League titleholders Real Madrid were drawn into Group H, where they will compete against Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal, Mexico's Pachuca, and Austria's Salzburg. Meanwhile, Group D features Esperance Sportive de Tunis of Tunisia, Chelsea of England, Flamengo of Brazil, and Leon of Mexico.
Italian football legend Alessandro Del Piero led the draw at the Telemundo Center in Miami, with the ceremony being broadcast live on FIFA's social media channels.
The tournament will be held across 12 stadiums of 11 American cities from June 15 to July 13, 2025.
The top two teams from each group will progress to the knockout stage, culminating in the final, which will take place at MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey.
