Bruno Barticciotto scored late as Talleres Cordoba continued its title charge with a 1-0 win at Gimnasia in Argentina's Primera Division on Sunday.
Barticciotto broke the deadlock in the 80th minute by sweeping home a first-time shot from the edge of the six-yard box after Miguel Navarro's cross.
It marked Talleres' fifth straight top-flight victory and left it trailing leader Velez Sarsfield on goal difference with one game remaining.
"We didn't start well, but we had greater control of possession in the second half and I was lucky enough to score an important goal," Barticciotto told reporters.
"We want to be champions and we are going to give everything we have in the last match. Belief and hope are the last things that we are going to lose," he added.
On next Sunday's final match day, Talleres will meet Newell's Old Boys at home while Velez, who has just one victory from its past five league outings, will host Huracan.
In other Primera Division fixtures on Sunday, Boca Juniors won 1-0 at Newell's, River Plate prevailed 4-0 at home to Rosario Central, and Godoy Cruz cruised to a 4-0 home victory over Banfield.
