Australian snowboarder Torah Bright has won Australia's first medal at the Sochi Olympics 2014, taking silver in the women's halfpipe final on Thursday, local media reported.
Bright, 27, was just 0.25 points behind American Kaitlyn Farrington who scored 91.75 points with her second run.
The Bronze went to American Kelly Clark who scored 90.75.
Vancouver 2010 champion Bright said it was one of the hardest events she had ridden in a long time.
"I feel great. I feel like I won!" she told Australia's Ten Network.
"So I'm so happy it is over and I am so happy I put a run down."
