20th Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation, Belgium

The Belgian beer consumers' organization Opstalse Bierpallieters will host the 20th annual Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation at Tapperij Beukenhof in Buggenhout, Belgium on May 28-29. This unique event will feature 70 unique beers, mostly lambic beers from the country’s brewers and blenders. Lambic, a very distinctive kind of beer brewed only in the Pajottenland region of Belgium, is produced by 100% spontaneous fermentation rather than using carefully cultivated brewers’ yeasts. Entrance to the event is free.
