Princess Grace of Monaco (November 12, 1929 – September 14, 1982) was an American actress. She married Rainier III, Prince of Monaco in 1956. She and Prince Rainier had three children.

Her status as a movie star confirmed in 1954 with a Golden Globe Award and Academy Award nomination as well as leading role in The Country Girl, in which she won the Best Actress Award at the Oscars for 1954. She retired from acting at 26 to enter upon her duties in Monaco.

She died on September 14, 1982, when she lost control of her automobile. But for her timeless beauty she topped the poll with 91 percent of the votes.
